First Waterfall Attempt

This is my first true attempt at a waterfall. For one thing, I did not have my tripod with me. It was about 1:30 in the afternoon, so the sun was about as high up as it comes in the Alaskan sky, and so the light was harsh and bright.

I obviously did not have a long shutter speed. I couldn't keep it sharp nor the exposure nice as it was. I'm looking into getting a neutral density filter. Anyone have a recommendation on a brand that's good?
