September Glow 1

Just am now getting my bearings after a whirlwind trip to Arizona last trip to meet my newest niece. Before I left, I captured this and more similar shots that I just adore.

Foggy Trees

Looking down over Homer, the fog covering the bay and the town ended halfway up the hill. The treeline  looked fascinating with hints of fog.

I love looking down at this section of road winding down the hill.

Grewingk Glacier Enshrouded in Fog

More fog over Kachemak Bay. This time it made for better photos. Now I just need to catch it at sunrise! I caught it at sunset last fall and I'd love to see that again.

Pushki Dreams

I assume these are seeds on the end of the pushki stalk, but I am not sure. They look very intriguing and I think they are sort of pretty.

Mountain Ash Berries

I believe this is a mountain ash tree. I just love the berries on it (rather, their appearance) And the bokeh in this shot is so yummy!

More Lupine

I thought that summer was about over! I found this lupine plant near Soldotna last week, and was amazed to find it nearby a nearly finished fireweed plant. Incredible.

After the Rain

I was driving home from Soldotna this past week when I saw a mother and her children playing in a field. I quickly turned around after I saw the field was full of vibrantly colored wild flowers! I didn't get too many amazing shots, but I really enjoy this one.

Glorious Reflections

The last shot I took of the moon's incredible reflection on Kachemak Bay.

Reflection from the Moon

The almost full moon created an incredible reflection on Kachemak Bay last week. I was fortunate to be able to capture it for almost an hour.

Spit After Sunset

The moon was incredibly compelling last week, and so I was able to shoot a little after dark, something I usually don't attempt. It was unfortunately windy, so the fireweed on both sides of the image was shaking a lot, and I shot a lot of duds. This was the one with the least amount of motion.

Print available.

Twilight

The almost full moon last week brought about some incredible scenes, which I will share in the coming days. Not the least was the fireweed.
