Having such extreme tides can be a blessing and a curse. I love seeing the new landscapes that occur every six hours or so, but at the same time, sometimes the compositions at the water's edge are rather dull. The evening I shot this, there was a solid line of seaweed as far as the eye could see...Long exposures sometimes do not work when there is seaweed, because it moves around in the waves. I lucked out in this composition since it did not move around too much.
